National Theatre
The National Theatre has been an ongoing client since 2000. The NT online brand has seen significant development (both creative and functional) in this time. The site is now third generational.
Our relationhsip has also developed over this period to include far more significant support and strategic planning. The NT website and webbler is now much more than an informational website with extensive information about both the NT itself and the events it puts on. This was only the starting point of what we have achieved together.
New online ticketing was launched in spring 2003 and online ticket sales soared from approxiamtely 7% previously to in excess of 33% in less than 12 months. Additionally Membership is much more integrated into the webbler with phplist now communicating with in excess of 40,000 registered members.
The webbler also provides these members with priority booking facilities on relevant events. At the same time the capacity of the NT website has been greatly enhanced with hosting now brought in-house and significantly expanded. With this increase in server capacity, together we have developed and deployed a powerful load-balancing system that not only means less downtime but more significantly provides a greater capacity to handle peaks and traffic spikes. This is vital for when new rep leaflets, special offers and/ or seasons are published.
All of the above has resulted in a very solid base from which to further develop and enhance the NT - both the website itself and the NT's position as a leading international online theatre website.
