Who we are
Between us we have years of experience in user experience design, technology, Drupal, system integration, system architecture, content modelling and digital marketing and campaigns. Meet our team.
Brian co-founded Tincan. In his time he has worked across a range of digital disciplines, today Brian heads up business development, winning new work and enriching client relationships and focuses on creating and nurturing the right team to deliver Tincan projects.
Brian passionately believes in the transformative power of our client's work - put simply our clients have the power to change lives. Moreover, he is passionate that digital can and should be a positive driver in social and cultural change; giving us new ways to talk to each other and our audiences.
Michael has been writing software, building IT platforms and running project teams for twenty years. He’s responsible for Tincan’s project portfolio and operations, an evangelist for Drupal and an enthusiast for what people can achieve with the web.
Becca brings her digital marketing skills and love of the arts to Tincan. Helping clients get the best out of their websites, Becca role is to lead and advise on a range of digital marketing activities - from PPC Management, to SEO through to crafting compelling and engaging content.
Becca has a range of experience delivering high profile marketing campaigns in the arts and entertainment sectors. Becca joined us from J.K. Rowling's Pottermore where she helped create and promote all kinds of wondrous, wizardy stuff. Passionate about crafting communications that resonate, she has a strong track record driving innovation and engagement for a range of organisations including J.K. Rowling’s Pottermore, IdeasTap and The Albany. Becca loves harnessing data and insights to inform strategy and is experienced across the full marketing mix including print, ECRM, social media, influencers, copywriting, PPC and content generation. She also holds an MA in Arts Management from Goldsmiths.
Ben’s role is to put user experience (UX) at the heart of our creative process.
Ben enjoys helping solve real-life problems and the opportunity for creativity and innovation that UX design offers. He runs client workshops to define the user experience requirements, helps define the content model and then crafts beautiful front-end solutions to clothe the new digital solution.
Jason oversees the technical implementation of projects, from requirement analysis and build to user training and support. In 2007 he spotted the potential of Drupal, and he remains nerdily excited about it today. He has turned his web skills to e-commerce, manufacturing industry extranets, digital charity campaigns and arts sector ticketing systems.
Jason has an appetite for a technical challenge. He loves exceeding clients' expectations for new sites, and rescuing them from the frustrations of old or clunky ones.
Rob's our heavyweight Drupal developer. He's worked on enterprise Drupal projects for almost 10 years, on projects across the globe (from the US to the UK, Spain to Sweden, and Hackney to Hungary) and on some of the largest Drupal builds in Europe - including Ericsson, ITV, iVillage.co.uk and NBC Universal (SyFy).
Rob's worked across every aspect of Drupal development - from architecture design, module development, content and user migration and front end styling to integration, performance and scalability. He's also the guy who wrote the de facto book on Drupal Rules (Drupal Rules How-to).
Harry has been designing and building websites for 10 years and joined Tincan in 2013. He enjoys the constantly evolving industry as there’s always something new to learn. Before Tincan, Harry worked with a range of notable clients including Netflix, Samsung, Ticketmaster, Reading & Leeds Festival, Download Festival, Vodafone, and Wembley Arena.
One of the things Harry likes about Tincan is the flexibility and especially remote working. This let's him listen to loud metal without annoying any of his colleagues or clients. Not only does he like listening to music, but he also potters off on tour with his own band which gives him time to enjoy a different side of life.
Maya joined Tincan in spring 2016 while completing her BSc in Information Technology at London South Bank University with first class honours.
She certainly kept herself busy during her studies, co-founding the Informatics Society, serving as Student Rep for the Web Development module of her course and winning first place in the Student Debate Competition. As if that wasn't enough she is also a member of the Dance Society and has previously worked as a choreographer and entertainer.
Not one to shy away from hard work, she is half way through studying for an MSc in Big Data Science at QMUL.
Geraldine has been looking after finances, contracts, human resources and company admin for over 7 years helping Tincan tick over like a well oiled machine.
In addition to Tincan, Geraldine makes furniture (she's a trained cabinet maker) and long before her illustrious career here, Geraldine was a professional photographer. She also worked at the ICA (one of our long-standing clients) for a period of time. Life has a lot of circles in it.
