Search Engine Optimisation is probably the most well known of the various Search Engine Marketing channels (SEM).

SEO is about ensuring that your customers can find you easily when they search for something relevant on any search engine.

Currently, the biggest player in this field - by a long shot - is Google. Second place goes to Bing.

All search engines are constantly trying to ensure that they deliver their customers with the most useful and relevant information to them. This means that the goal posts - in some areas - are constantly moving and there's no sure-fire way to 'win' at SEO. And we'd recommend that you should be suspicious of anyone who tells you otherwise!
